ごあいさつ

Dear Colleagues,

Genome editing with programmable nucleases is an emerging biotechnology for the precise manipulation of target genes in various organisms and cells. Undoubtedly, genome editing technology is one of the most important inventions of the 21st century, and is already being used in various fields of life science. In particular, CRISPR-Cas technology has launched a new era in biomedicine.

The 9th Takeda Science Foundation Symposium on PharmaSciences will focus on “Genome editing towards medicinal applications”. The program will feature lectures on cutting-edge research by distinguished guest speakers from all over the world. The major objective of the symposium is to provide a unique opportunity for young scientists to learn about state-of-the-art research in this rapidly-developing area.

We hope that you will attend the symposium to exchange ideas and expertise with leading scientists in the field. We look forward to seeing you in Osaka in February 2018.

Sincerely yours,

Organizing Committee
